Crooked Lark is run by Hollie Glossop, a puppetry and mask artist based in Sheffield. Her passion for these captivating arts began at the University of Hull, and she is now establishing herself as a northern puppetry artist.

Hollie specialises in creating puppets and masks for theatrical productions and is adept at crafting imaginative characters and stories to complement her creations.

Recently, she participated in the Puppets in Prague programme and performed at the Letní Letná Festival and Teatrum Kuks with the uniqueshow Cirkus Kvak. Prior to this, she refined her skills at the Merlin Puppet Theatre’s intensive workshop, developing all aspects from dramaturgy to design.

In addition, Hollie was awarded the Emerging Puppetry Artist slot at the Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival with her original piece, Pickled Dreams.

In March 2025, Hollie was also awarded the DYCP Arts Council grant for Puppet Professional: Expanding my puppetry career in design, performance, and playwriting.

Hollie is also a Workshop Leader and has delivered creative workshops with Child Dynamix, Lakeside Arts, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Creative Day Care and Horsforth Walk of Art.
